I specialize in working with adults living with the long-term effects of Complex PTSD, including symptoms like anxiety, depression, chronic shame, addiction, dissociation, emotional numbness, and relational difficulties. These symptoms are often rooted in early and repeated experiences of neglect, emotional invalidation, and trauma.
Drawing from trauma-informed and body-based methods, I offer a grounded, practical, and supportive approach to healing. I use:
-
Somatic Experiencing™ (SE): A body-centered approach that supports the nervous system in releasing stored trauma. This helps reduce hypervigilance, tension, and overwhelm, and increases your ability to feel safe, grounded, and present.
-
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing): An evidence-based method for reducing the emotional intensity of traumatic memories. Through bilateral stimulation, EMDR helps reprocess and integrate distressing experiences, easing symptoms like anxiety, panic, and intrusive thoughts.
-
Internal Family Systems (IFS): A powerful model for working with internal conflict and fragmentation. IFS helps you identify and relate to different parts of yourself with compassion, especially parts that carry pain, fear, or protective roles. This process supports self-understanding, reduces inner criticism, and fosters integration.
-
Brainspotting: A focused neurobiological tool that uses eye positions to help access and release trauma stored in the deeper brain. It can be especially effective when traditional talk therapy feels stuck or inaccessible.
These modalities work together to address both the emotional and physiological effects of trauma. Whether you are navigating chronic anxiety, compulsive behaviors, low self-worth, or difficulties in relationships, I offer a space where we can work collaboratively to support healing and lasting change.
Sessions may include:
-
Tracking sensations and nervous system cues
-
Resourcing techniques to increase safety and regulation
-
Parts work to support internal clarity and connection
-
Trauma reprocessing through EMDR or Brainspotting
-
Deep listening and meaning-making to integrate insight and change
My style is relational, compassionate, and grounded. We go at your pace. I will meet you wherever you are in your healing journey.
